Sioux Lookout is situated in the Heart of Sunset Country and serves as the Gateway to the North. Located on beautiful Pelican Lake and on the Canadian National Railway mainline about 65 km north of the Trans Canada Highway, Sioux Lookout is served by good highway and a busy airport. It is the service centre for the Northern Communities and Pickle Lake.
The Forest Inn & Conference Centre offers a full service hotel/motel facility, situated on Highway 72 at the entrance to Sioux Lookout. The Inn is located on a quiet bay on Pelican Lake, with a picturesque view and setting.
Forest Inn has a private beach with warm sand and shallow water in a quiet bay. Looking up from the water's edge, you find 2.5 acres of picnic area, complete with a beach volleyball court and a licensed deck overlooking the grounds.
The Forest Inn offers 42 well appointed Guest Rooms, fully licensed Dining Room and Lounge, Sand Beach and Conference Facilities.

"Third time staying here in room 328 in 5 or 6 years, they have repainted this room nicely. Always a pleasure to stay here, very quiet, lots of ice and complementary breakfast is super. I love having french toast in the morning !!. I'll be here again in 2019."

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were super clean (including their pet friendly rooms). Amazing view and not too far from some eateries. Amazing view of Pelican Lake. They have a nice beach on the property and a big beach volleyball court. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. They have a great restaurant called The Forest. Great food and prepared quickly with amazing service from the staff.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
